Our approach to debt collection
Our approach to debt recovery is tailored to both individual and commercial debtors.
Once debtors have been handed over, we initiate the collection process immediately.
1. Initial Contact and Collection Strategy
Initial contact is made by written legal notices and cyclical call campaigns. First call resolution strategy aims to negotiate settlements or structured payment plans. The aim is to collect as much debt as possible as fast as possible whilst maintaining a good reputation.
2. Follow-Up on Instalment Arrangements
All debtors that make instalment arrangements will be thoroughly followed up by receiving written reminders 2 days before the payment is due, and telephonic follow up on the date payment has been arranged for. This will minimise the risks payment default and uphold a good PTP ratio.
3. Dispute Resolution
We also facilitate the resolution of any dispute’s debtors might have with quick and effective communication with our client’s team.
4. Tracing Unreachable Debtors
Debtors that remain untraceable will be traced via advanced tracing systems to locate and contact the responsible parties.
5. Credit Bureau Listings for Defaulting Debtors
All debtors that have failed to make payments 90 days after handover will be listed as default-payers on the credit bureau.
6. Legal Action on Persistent Defaulters
All debtors that remain in default is subject to handover for legal action, however, careful consideration in terms of debtor assets and claim amounts need to be considered.
